The Panaewa Game Changing Empire Sports Combine will be held March 17-19. It is for the Classes of 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 for baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball and volleyball players.
Players can test their athleticism, compare scores with other athletes and have scores sent to college coaches nationwide.
There is no charge.
Registration is being held and closes on March 12 at piaahawaii.com.
Free Under Armour shirts are available for volunteers on a first-come basis. Call Chelsie at 932-2607 with any questions.
Panaewa residents are asked to choose Panaewa Club under high school.
• March 17: outdoor sports at Waiakea High. Registration at 7:30 a.m. and mandatory parent/player meeting from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Practice drills from 10 a.m. to noon.
• March 18 at Waiakea High. Check-in at 8 a.m. for 40-yard dash, 60-yard dash, pro agility shuttle, L drill, vertical jump and broad jump. Event runs from 9 a.m. to noon.
• March 17: indoor sports at Panaewa Gym. Registration from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and mandatory parent/player meeting from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Practice drills from 2 to 4 p.m.
• March 19 at Panaewa Gym. Check-n at noon for 10-yard dash, 20-yard dash, approach jump, vertical jump, pro agility shuttle and broad jump. Event runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
BIIF preseason volleyball
Christian Liberty is hosting its inaugural Big Island Under 300 Volleyball Invitational for BIIF schools with an enrollment under 300 students. The BIU300 will run at 1 p.m. Saturday at CLA’s Old Mill Field House.
The teams are Ka’u (265 students), Laupahoehoe (64), Ehunui (48) and host CLA (48).
The BIIF season starts Tuesday, March 3 with CLA at Waiakea, Hilo at Kamehameha, Ehunui at Pahoa.
JV games start at 6 p.m. followed by the varsity. CLA, Ehunui and Laupahoehoe don’t have JV teams and their games start at 7 p.m.
Kamehameha is the defending BIIF Division I champion and Ka’u is the defending BIIF Division II champion.
Vuls beat Knights in hoops
Dominique Campbell scored 33 points as the UH-Hilo men’s basketball team defeated Academy of Art 85-79 on Tuesday night at UHH Gym.
Tre Johnson added 14 points and Yevgeniy Dyachenko had 10 points for UHH (11-13, 7-11 PacWest), which snapped a five-game losing skid.
Herman Pratt scored 15 points to lead the Urban Knights (7-17, 5-13).
UHH plays Holy Names at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hilo Civic, not at its own UHH Gym. The UHH women play the Hawks at 5 p.m. Thursday in the earlier game.

Hilo Little League is continuing registration for players, managers and coaches interested in the Junior (ages 13-14), Senior (14-16) and Big League (16-18) divisions for baseball.

50-70 Division sign-ups
Hilo Little League is continuing registration for players, managers and coaches interested in the Intermediate 50-70 division of Little League baseball for ages 12-13. The newly sanctioned division uses a 50 feet pitching distance and 70 feet basepaths and will include a postseason tournament and World Series.
